The Charities supported today were Water Aid and Help the Heroes. Mr Ward organised a water relay and an assault course.

Yr 6 went on an Art trip to the Lowry Gallery in Manchester. Mr Davies was the happy snapper. Mr Foulds was the budding artist!

Mr Parkinson took a group of Orienteers to Chelmsford to take part in a National competition. Both boy's and girl's teams came 2nd. Mr Parkinson also took the photos.

This year, the Mummers raised just over £1000 for the Candlelighters charity.

Ama Agbeze, a member of the England netball team, came to coach the girls, and 5 players from the Doncaster Knights lead a coaching session with the year 7 and 8 boys.

We took a party of atheletes to Leeds Metropolitan University for the North East area athletics meeting. 22 children won their events and will go through to the National Prep School Finals meeting at Birmingham.

Everybody came in their own clothes and each donated £2 to charity.

Amongst other subjects, we have photographed Red objects, Activities and stitched together a number of shots to create a panorama (the joints are meant to be invisible!).

This year, the Mummers Group raised £800 for the NSPCC.

In the summer holidays, Mr Hawkins, Mrs Platt-Hawkins, Mrs Quinlon & Miss Rogers took a party of Year 6 & Year 7's to the South of France. Mr Hawkins took the photos.

The theme of this year's Book week was 'The end of the War'. We had visits from Storytellers, the Huristics, the West Midlands Theatre Company and the children and staff dressed up in 1945 fashions. Years 3 & 4 also had a street party.

Playtime, Christmas Parcel Appeal, Group rugby, Lord Nelson, Yr 3 Science, Yr 7 bonding, Chess, Cooking, D.A.R.E.

Each Group gave an introduction, followed by a small group piece and then the Group Song. St Benedict won the competition this year (Hooray!). The SMT appeared as 'SPLEEN' and entertained us with some of Queen's hits.

I dusted off one of my old film cameras for this collection and shot them on B&W XP2 film, then scanned the negatives (it took me a whole afternoon!).

All of Year 7 spent a whole day taking part in a variety of activities designed to promote team building, bonding and problem solving.

12 Ranbians went to the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham to represent the North East area in the National Prep Schools Finals.

Yr 8 set out to wrap trees in recycled paper, magazines and packaging in the style of the famous French artist Christos.

Ranby hosted the U11 IAPS Rounders National Finals (which we won last year). Unfortunately, we didn't win through to the finals this year.

After the CE exams, Year 8 went on an overnight camp to Hesley Wood, where thy were able to sample lots of exciting activities.

A chance to dress up and make a lot of noise!

On Thursday afternoons, pupils can choose an activity which will give them an opportunity to try something different to their usual games programme.

A group of musicians joined pupils from Cheltenham, Canterbury and Formarke Prep Schools to perform in a joint concert in London.

Children from the Pre-Prep to Year 8 demonstrated their skills learnt in their Jazz Dance hobby, along with guest appearances from the Dance School.

Sports action from the Rugby, Soccer, Netball and Hockey teams.

Over 100 pupils took part in this years festival.

Year 4 produced a modern twist on many of the traditional Nursey Rhymes.

The Ranby Parents Group (RPG) organised a fashion show for children. Pupils from the Pre-prep to year 8 modelled clothes from local Fashion Houses.

On Palm Sunday, the Congregation, Choir and 2 donkeys processed around the School. Hymns were sung at various locations.

On Red Nose Day, pupils and staff dressed in as much red as possible, and raised over £2500 for Comic Relief.

Year 7 perform songs, sketches and jokes in the style of The Old Time Music Hall.
